The Warehouse Group

The Warehouse Group (TWG) was founded by Sir Stephen Tindall in 1982, and has evolved from a single The Warehouse store, to become one of the largest retailing groups in New Zealand with $3 billion in sales. Our brands include The Warehouse, Warehouse Stationery and Noel Leeming.

As New Zealand's general merchandise retailer with over 180 retail stores nationwide, online stores and apps as well as distribution centres, we have a footprint accessible to every Kiwi.

We also have three overseas sourcing offices located in China, Bangladesh and India. We are a people-centred business with more than 10,000 team members across our locations, serving more than one million Kiwis in our stores each week.

Mark Stirton - Group Chief Executive Officer

Mark joined The Warehouse Group as Chief Financial Officer in April 2024 and promoted to Group CEO in August 2025.

Before joining the Group, Mark was the Chief Financial Officer at Mr Price Group in South Africa, one of the largest retailers there with over 2,700 stores. He is a qualified CA (SA) and FCMA with multiple MBA's in accounting and finance, digital business, as well as business administration and management from global universities, including the University of Barcelona.
