We're proud of our ongoing efforts to help our communities in meaningful ways and be there for them in moments that matter.

With the generosity of our customers and the passion of our teams, since 1982 The Warehouse Group has raised more than $88 million for New Zealand charities and communities to help Kiwi families thrive.

The Period Place

Access to period products should be a given, not a nice to have. We continue to make period products accessible and affordable through our range of private label $2 pads, with one in every ten sold donated to local organisations in need through our partnership with The Kindness Collective. This year 78,762 period products were donated.

We're also proud to offer free period products in all team member bathrooms across our store network, distribution centres and support office locations because dignity and access should never be out of reach.

Gateway Programme

We're incredibly proud to be part of the Gateway programme to build careers in retail in partnership with ServiceIQ. The programme provides Year 12-13 students meaningful, hands-on experience in retail, helping them build confidence, develop customer service skills, understand health and safety practices, and earn National Certificate of Educational Achievement (NCEA) credits – all while forming professional connections for life beyond school. We've been part of the programme since 2014 and have seen over 15,000 students complete their work experience with us.

Be the Joy Campaign

The Warehouse Group's 'Be the Joy' campaign sees us partner with Women's Refuge, Variety - The Childrens Charity, The Kindness Collective and The Salvation Army to help bring cheer to Kiwi's struggling over the festive period. Customers at all of our brands across New Zealand can purchase simply add $2 or more to their online purchase, or at one of our stores.

The Warehouse stores nationwide also collect new, unwrapped gifts for their local Women's Refuge shelter.

Shielded Website

Our association with Women's Refuge provides shielded sites on our brand websites so people experiencing family violence can ask for help anonymously without fear of it showing up in their browsers history or abusive partner ever seeing it.

Kindness Collective

The Warehouse Group is a national charity partner for The Kindness Collective, helping support thousands of Kiwi families each year. We work together on nationwide campaigns that engage, support and spread kindness to local communities.

We also support The Kindness Collective’s community hub with vital funding to resource their food bank, winter warmth bank and helps to keep toiletries, baby essentials, clothing, blankets and toys books and art supplies stocked for families referred to their programme.

Here for Good Leave

Every year, every team member at the Group has the opportunity to take a paid day of leave to volunteer and give back to their community. In FY25 our team recorded 376 hours of volunteering for their communities. From packing boxes of food and essentials for families in need, to helping families get Christmas gifts at The Kindness Collective’s Joy Store, to supporting local school activities, our teams lived our value of Doing Good throughout the year.

Family Violence Policy

At The Warehouse Group, we’re proud to take a leading role in supporting our team members affected by family violence. We offer up to 15 days of paid leave for anyone experiencing family violence, providing time and space to access the support they need.

In addition, we provide up to three nights of accommodation at an approved hotel for team members who require emergency shelter, ensuring safety and care when it’s needed most.

The Red Bag

The Warehouse’s iconic Red Bag is more than just a recycled, reusable shopping bag. Every time a customer purchases one, the proceeds help us give back to Kiwi communities in a meaningful way. A portion of every Red Bag sold is donated to our national community partners while another portion stays with the local store team, empowering them to support the unique needs of their communities. In 2025, we raised $1.4 million from our Red Bag sales to support families and causes across New Zealand.

Good One

We continue to support access to everyday essentials through Good One, our cruelty-free personal care range. With every purchase, customers help us provide products like shampoo and body wash to women and children in need through our partnership with Women’s Refuge. In FY25, more than 5,000 Good One products were donated, helping families across New Zealand  feel cared for during difficult times of transition.

Aspire with The Salvation Army

Aspire is a youth development programme created by The Salvation Army in partnership with the Group, now in its tenth year. It helps young people build confidence, resilience, and essential life skills through weekly group sessions, outdoor adventures, and community projects, all led by experienced youth workers. The programme continues to grow its reach across schools and communities, while also enabling The Salvation Army to provide wrap-around support for families.
