Career Snapshot
For most of my career, I’ve worked in the Telco industry, spending over seven years as a Regional Manager. I then saw an exciting opportunity at The Warehouse Group as a High Performance Coach on a fixed-term contract. Fortunately, my hard work was recognised, and I was offered a permanent role within the Continuous Improvement team.
I then took on a new challenge and moved into the Services area. About a year later, the Lead position became available, and I decided to take the leap. Few years on, I’m still loving the journey and continue to learn something new every day.
Day in the life
As a Lead, I see myself as a key enabler or unlocker of opportunity. Servant leadership is crucial for the success and ownership of my team. My time is split between assisting team members with their development to planning and strategising for the future of Services.
What is your favourite part of your job?
There is constant opportunity to learn which keeps me engaged however it's all about the people! (how cliche!)
What advice would you give to someone who wants to do what you do?
The most important factor under our control is our mindset and ability to face into challenges. You do not have to have all the answers as a Lead but to use your intuition to guide your team.
