Nate
Career Snapshot
I started as a Christmas Temp when I was 16. After my initial role, I was offered a permanent customer service role and quickly progressed into a 2IC Sales Support Management position after a few months. Following this, I moved into a Sales Support role where I was able to further develop my skills in customer service, relationship management and sales support.
Finally, I moved into the Store Support Office to work in Talent Acquisition. In this role, I am developing skills in recruitment and talent management, gaining a broader understanding of the business and exposure to different departments.
Day in the life
Currently I am responsible for approving job requests, sending out contracts & answering queries from our stores around recruitment. There are exciting opportunities to work on our careers site, provide group training sessions to our stores and review hiring stats to further improve our candidate experience.
How would you describe the culture at TWG?
The culture is all about learning and development. Having an open mindset and taking on challenges that come your way. In a way that encourages personal growth and fulfilment.
The environment is welcoming, which allows you to bring your full self to work, without fear of judgement.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to do what you do?
Make connections and reach out to those who are already doing the job. Gain advice on how they have gotten where they are and what they look for. Then, make yourself a timeline on how far you are from being a suitable applicant for the role and how you are going to get there.
Why do you love working with The Warehouse Group?
There is so much opportunity to grow and develop your career with The Warehouse Group. The limits are endless with the diversity of roles you can move through with a great base of training.
