Job Description
Te kaupapa o te tūranga – About the role
We’re looking for a driven and curious Graduate Software Developer to join our team working on Prism - Noel Leeming’s in‑house developed ERP and Point of Sale system. Prism is a core platform running across the entire business, and this role gives you the chance to develop real, production-grade software that makes a visible difference every day.
In this role, you will gain hands‑on experience with a unique and powerful tech stack including Java, RPG, and DB2, and learn how enterprise systems operate at scale.
You will also contribute to ongoing platform support, helping ensure Prism runs smoothly across all of Noel Leeming, all while growing your engineering capability and learning from experienced, supportive peers.
Qualifications

You might be:
- A recent graduate from an IT‑related discipline, OR
- Someone ready for their first role in a corporate environment, keen to build strong foundations in software development and enterprise systems.
You’ll bring:
- Foundational Java skills, with the curiosity to expand into RPG and other new technologies.
- A desire to learn how large-scale systems work and evolve over time.
- Problem‑solving strengths and an analytical mindset.
- Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders.
- A proactive, growth‑oriented mindset.
As a Graduate Software Developer, you’ll:
- Develop and enhance components of the Prism ERP and POS system.
- Troubleshoot issues and participate in continuous improvements.
- Stay curious keeping abreast of new technologies and modern development practices.
- Learn from and be mentored by senior developers — and in time, help support your fellow graduates and peers.
