At our Distribution Centre DC one of the largest in the country we are the engine room behind our stores. Every day we are making sure the right products are in the right place at the right time. Behind that flow is a strong Physical Inventory team ensuring our stock accuracy is on point and during peak season that role is more important than ever.
Job Description
We are on the lookout for detail focused, reliable team players to join our Physical Inventory Team. If you enjoy problem solving, working with data, and being the quality checkpoint behind the scenes you will thrive in this role.
As a Physical Inventory Team Member, you will be responsible for maintaining stock accuracy across the DC. You will investigate discrepancies, complete cycle counts, and work closely with operational teams to ensure inventory integrity is maintained. This role combines physical activity with analytical thinking and is perfect for someone who likes to stay active while using their brain. Other duties will include (but are not limited to)
- Physical checks of all outgoing pallets to ensure they are structurally sound and are labeled for the correct store.
- Check all relevant details of pallets e.g. size / store numbers etc.
- Ensure packaging within pallets is correct.
- Train team members where appropriate on the correct stacking of pallets.
- Check cartons / pallets against dispatch.
- Undertake checks for consignment closures during the day.
- Sorting / Identification of problem stock.
- Trouble Shooting / Problem Solving.
- Correct labeling of outgoing stock.
- Undertaking cyclic stock take tasks.
- Completion of identified consignment audits.
- This role will require you to use a stock picker at height
- Liaison with Inventory Supervisor to identify errors.
This role is Sunday - Thursday 6:00am - 2:30pm
$30.28 / hr
Qualifications
- Previous distribution experience would be advantageous
- Attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- A passion to deliver great results
- Must be able to work with machinery (training and licenses provided)
- Must be okay to work at heights.
It can also be physically demanding at times so we’re looking for people with a great attitude and a good degree of strength and who can keep up with our fast-paced environment.
