We are seeking a Group Accounts Payable Manager to play a pivotal leadership and mentoring role, at a time of change within our finance function.

Job Description

Reporting to the Finance Controller/ Transactional Services Lead, you will lead our large Supplier Payments team (majority based in India with a small team based here at our Auckland office) with a focus on its customers (both internal and external), including:


  • Delivery of a timely and efficient supplier payments process across its key KPIs
  • Leading the key relationship management and resolution of matters with suppliers, refinement and development of processes to improve efficiency,
  • Developing the team with a high performing team culture, including cross functional training


Further to that you will:


  • Manage clear, agreed KPIs and performance metrics for all team members with monthly review of KPIs, taking action where needed
  • Ensure up to date, accurate and timely receipt and processing of invoices and credit notes
  • Work closely across the management functions, ensuring resource is allocated appropriately and ensuring adequate controls and separation of duties
  • Continue to develop processes to improve efficiency across the team
  • Manage system issues and work with/escalate to the appropriate teams
  • Ensure team are adequately on-boarded and trained, that roles and responsibilities are clear, role development is continually reviewed in terms of capacity and capability
  • Ensure all roles are trained in cross brand processes and able to back up and support other roles across the function.

Qualifications

We are searching for someone that has a proven ability to lead and deliver. Your natural ability to engage and passion for coaching and mentoring team members, will aid you in the success of this role.  We’re early in our co-partner journey, so you’ll play a key role in shaping the approach, processes, and ways of working to ensure success.


  • Good level of financial acumen and several years of senior accounts payable management experience of a large and complex organisation
  • Organised and structured approach to work and team deliverables
  • Be able to develop long term relationships both internally and externally, based on trust, confidence and mutual respect
  • Transformation leadership and change management experience
