INTERNSHIPS
At TWG we love to find, support and grow new talent. Whether you are a school leaver, student or graduate, we have a number of opportunities for you to grow with us, from work experience to internships. The transition from education to working life can be daunting. Here at TWG, we are committed to ensuring that transition is as smooth as possible.
AUT
Our Interns are immersed in the everyday life of our business so they can gain relevant, real-world experience. They bring fresh ideas and the latest business theory, providing TWG with valuable insights.
The Warehouse Group has participated in AUT Co-Operative Education programme since 2012. Retail is exciting, fast paced and packed with variety which means we can offer participating students workplace experiences that adds value to them as well as our business.
Working in an agile environment gives participating students the chance to develop new skills and ways of working. We also benefit. The programme helps keep us across the latest industry learning trends, provides leadership opportunities for our team and can be a great way to identify future talent for our business.
P-TECH
Responding to the growing need for talent to fill emerging technology-related roles, we're proud to partner with IBM in New Zealand as part of the global P-TECH programme.
Pathways in Technology (P-TECH) is a high school/early tertiary programme developing digital skills and job ready students. It is a three-way partnership The Warehouse Group, IBM and Manukau Institute of Technology that brings together the best elements between high school, tertiary education and the professional world. P-TECH enables students to begin their tertiary and professional lives more quickly and with greater support than the typical school-to-work pathway.
The five year programme has been specifically designed to encourage and support Maori and Pasifika, and female professionals who are currently under-represented in the sector.
TUPUTOA
TWG is proud to partner with TupuToa, a not-for-profit organisation focused on developing future leaders from Maori and Pasifika communities. TupuToa's success is built on companies like ours actively mentoring final year university students through a 12-week internship programme.
The partnership with TupuToa provides TWG with the chance to increase diversity of thought within the business and expand opportunities for creativity, flexibility, inclusive leadership and organisational agility.
