MEET THE TEAM

Meet Sarah...
What advice would you give to someone who wants to do what you do?
My advice is to be curious and ask lots of questions along with the way as this is how we all learn and grow. Understanding how what you do in your role affects the full end to end process will help you get the best outcome for the customer and the business.
A Day in Your Life
As a Lead Buyer some of the key responsibilities of the role are reviewing the category portfolio to ensure the product range is compelling and aligned with cusotmer needs and market demands. Staying ahead of trends and ensuring our product range remains relevant and competitive.
Building and executing category strategies that align with broader business objectives, while maximising profitability is key part to the role. Building strong supplier relationships is also crucial. I negotiate with key suppliers to secure the best partnerships and outcomes, ensuring we get the right products at the right price.
Collaboration is really important and I work closely with planning, merchandising and marketing teams to bring our product vision to life, ensuring everything is in sync to create a cohesive, successful collection.

The best part of your job?
My favourite part of my buying role is seeing a product come to life from start to finish - watching it evolve from an initial concept to actually seeing it on the shelves and featured in marketing. It's incredibly rewarding to be part of the entire journey!
Describe the culture and environment at TWG.
What makes it a great place to work is the people. There's a unique energy here, where everyone is genuinely invested in working together to achieve the same goal of helping our customers. Every day, I get to work alongside individuals who are not only skilled but also deeply passionate about making a positive impact. The way we support one another and pool our strengths makes all the difference.
What is your favourite TWG benefit?
My favourite TWG benefit is the support that they provide to continued learning. I am lucky to be supported by TWG with a scholarship to study and I am currently in my last year of completing my Degree in Retail and Business Management.
