    My role involves the ongoing management and growth of the Health and Beauty category. That involves developing strategies, selecting compelling product ranges, negotiating competitive prices and delivering customer-driven category plans.

    I have a team of five, and we work closely alongside our planner and replenishment analyst. No day is the same – our roles change as the world around us changes, and what the customer needs, is change.

    I became a lead category manager in health and beauty this year – my dream role! A highlight for me was winning Merchandise Team of the Year – twice! It was so exciting to get recognised and I was really proud of my team.

    The Warehouse is such a supportive organisation – it really puts its people first and helps us grow. The learning and development opportunities give us a toolbox for doing our roles to the best of our abilities. A recent leadership course I went on gave me confidence to learn new and different ways to motivate our teams.

    Retail is ever-changing. Online shopping means customer shopping habits are changing and we need to evolve with that. Technology is bringing about a huge revolution in retail and customers have more power than ever before.
