We are searching for a passionate, talented individual to be the Shipping Manager in our International Logistics department. You will be pivotal in supporting our overall International logistics strategy, managing the Warehouse Group’s shipping function to ensure timely delivery of all overseas orders at a competitive cost, whilst meeting our brand service requirements. Reporting through to the General Manager of Group Transport, you will be based in our Auckland Support Office. 

The Role:

  • Managing all international shipping and freight forwarding costs, through negotiating annual contracts and the procurement of ad-hoc shipping services as required.
  • Building on existing supplier relationships including establishing and maintaining shipping line and freight forwarding contracts.
  • Ensuring TWG’s shipping operations and stock-flow management is streamlined, efficient and delivering on key KPI’s
  • Developing and implementing offshore logistics solutions to support the wider TWG Logistics strategy.
  • Overseeing regulatory compliance with New Zealand border agencies including MPI and NZ Customs.

You will be / have:

  • Around 3 – 5 years’ experience working in a retail / consumer industry.
  • Between 5 – 10 years working in an import shipping operations and freight negotiations background.
  • Extensive supplier relationship management experience.
  • People Management experience.
  • Flexible, process driven and focused on providing results and solutions.
  • Experienced working in fast-paced and ever changing environments.
  • Driven, determined, and having a good sense of humour will put you in good stead with the team!
