The role

Reporting into our GM Marketing Communications, you will essentially drive the Marcom workflow and activities for our Torpedo7 (T7) business - integrating across the organization to make messaging more effective.  You will be the single point of Marcom ownership and traffic, in support of our marketing partners (e.g. Head of Marketing, GM Marketing).

This role suits a hands-on marketer – whom loves fast pace and can deal and thrive in a matrix structure. Equally important is an understanding of the Kiwi psyche when it comes to enjoying the outdoors in an active way!

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with the Head of Marketing T7 and their extended team members, setting goals and objectives to deliver a fully integrated approach to marketing communications
  • Ensuring all aspects of the T7 marketing communications are on brand, consistent, focused on the customer, and employ best practices.
  • Driving excellence around 360-degree ideas and owning the briefing process with key partners.
  • Managing a team member - leading, guiding, mentoring and developing
  • Managing a collaborative process whereby no Marcom creative gets developed without participation and input.
  • Produce corresponding deliverables – messaging documents/presentations/guides, product collateral


About you

  • 8+ years’ experience in related Marketing and/or Project Management roles (some of which gained in the retail sector, and a blend of agency experience would be ideal)
  • A confident interactor and strong communicator – you know how to work cross functionally, win friends, influence, negotiate and push back when needed
  • Excellent relationship management skills
  • You thrive on fast pace and you’re comfortable with ambiguity
  • Proven experience developing, inspiring and activating teams to deliver top notch marketing messaging against key audiences
  • Proven track record of delivering and driving excellence around 360-degree campaigns
