This is a fantastic opportunity to join The Warehouse Group's well established & successful Health and Beauty team as a Buyers Assistant. This role will see you working alongside more senior members of the department assisting with administrative tasks and systems support.

Our Buyers Assistants are responsible for supporting the day to day operations of the category by liaising with various local and overseas based suppliers and providing support to the Category Manager in making decisions that capitalise on the profitability and overall success of the division. 

This is an administration role that gives you a real, solid grounding in the life of a busy and varied Merchandise team. You will get exposure to a day, week and month in the life of an area that changes regularly.

Reporting to the Buyer, and working closely with the rest of the team you will be responsible for:

  • Administration and systems support
  • Placing and tracking orders
  • Raising purchase orders and barcodes
  • Maintaining the trading calendar
  • Managing supplier invoices and coding
  • Assisting with advertising/promotional plans
  • Mailer and image loading
  • Reviewing and reporting on sales monitoring
  • Support of customer based Events (e.g Christmas, Easter, Mother’s day etc.) with MIP, following critical paths, samples
  • Testing and quality check as required

You will have outstanding verbal and written communication skills, have a high attention to detail, and display excellent time management. Your ability to manage and interpret large amounts of data as well as your robust analytical and computer skills will stand you in good stead to succeed.

Internal and external stakeholder management is critical to the team so the ability to proactively manage suppliers and internal relationships will be key.
