E-commerce content coordinator

TheMarket is a curated lifestyle shopping platform launching in August, 2019. With over 300 merchants representing over 3,000 brands we aim to become one of the biggest content creators in New Zealand. This amazing once-in-a-lifetime opportunity exists to help bring this goal to life.

We are seeking an enthusiastic online content co-ordinator with a creative flair to support the e-commerce trading team by ensuring all content on the website is accurate, current and supports sales conversion goals.  

Key areas of responsibilities 

  • Create, update and maintain product assortments (new arrivals, style trends, collections)
  • Support the content strategy by ensuring the website is regularly updated with relevant content on home, brand, merchant, and news pages 
  • Manage visual layout of products, brands and merchants following merchandising guidelines 
  • Ensure all products are correctly categorised with relevant attributes following merchandising guidelines 
  • Support sales and promotional events by updating content and scheduling sales and promotions on the website 
  • QA of online content and external ad campaigns to ensure all links direct to relevant pages 
  • QA of product detail pages to ensure Merchants products adhere to agreed minimum standards 
  • Work closely with Online Content Designers to ensure content provided is optimised for the website 
  • Contribute to wider team meetings to fuel ideas and understand wider website initiatives 

  • Eye for detail 
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills 
  • Experience in the using a content management system preferred but not essential 
  • Some graphic design or photoshop experience preferred but not essential 
  • Excellent organisation skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects 
  • 1-2 years online or ecommerce experience
