Fulfilment Operations Manager – Noel Leeming & Torpedo7

We have an exciting opportunity in the Omnichannel Fulfilment team for an experienced Operations Manager to look after our Noel Leeming & Torpedo7 Fulfilment Centres which are based in Auckland, Hamilton and Christchurch.  The role will be split between time spent at our Store Support Office in Northcote and visiting the relevant operational sites.


Reporting to the GM Omnichannel Fulfilment your key objectives to ensuring the efficient running and high performing state of the Fulfilment Centres are going to come through strong leadership, team capability development, managing robust cost controls, delivering to the strategy and managing team welfare.


Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Manage and upskill team members to deliver fantastic service by working to aligned SLA, and KPIs. This position has three direct reports, who lead their associated sites, with 150+ FTE team members in the wider team.
  • Provide input to and lead the execution of the brand’s Omnichannel Fulfilment Strategy, and ensure this is well communicated and reviewed with all team members.
  • Develop structure, people, process and systems to support the Strategy.
  • Continuously managing and improving the post purchase customer experience/journeys.
  • P&L responsibility across these multi-site Fulfilment Centres. Providing budget inputs, ensuring cost delivery and reporting to the business.
  • Display strong stakeholder management and cross functional alignment internally and externally. You will show clear communication and will remove roadblocks through positive relationships.
  • Drive and promote change management processes.
  • Drive an engaged and performance driven culture by modelling the TWG Group values from the front.
  • Lead, grow and develop a team to high performance outcomes.
  • Drive a strong health, safety and wellbeing culture.


Experience and Qualifications:

  • Ideally you will have 10 years of Logistics/fulfilment experience as well as 5+ years from within the Retail/Consumer industry.
  • You will be able to demonstrate vast DC/Fulfilment management best practices.
  • Extensive people leadership experience including developing team culture and people capability.
  • Proven experience leading a team through change.
  • You will have experience with full budget ownership, and cost reduction management.
  • You will have experience working in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
  • Experience from a matrix environment is highly beneficial.
  • You will show excellent commercial acumen and stakeholder management influencing skills.
