Senior Android Developer

We’re looking for a Senior Android Developer to join our awesome mobile team. 

The Role:

In this role, you will be working in a cross functional, agile team, contributing to our customer facing mobile apps across our The Warehouse and Warehouse Stationery brands.   

You will contribute to designing and building usable, responsive and elegant mobile solutions ensuring they are secure, scalable and maintainable. You’ll collaborate with designers, product owners, other developers and a range of folk across the business to ensure The Warehouse and Warehouse Stationery Android solutions are best in class.

About You:

We’re looking for an experienced Android developer experienced in native Android development (Java). You’ll bring the following skill set to the role.

  • Android development in Java and/or Kotlin experience:
  • 4 years experience
  • Java and/or Kotlin
  • Android Studio
  • Experience working with UX designer.
  • HTTP protocol and the consumption of JSON web services.
  • Android unit testing
  • Solid working knowledge of common design patterns (eg. MVC, MVVM) and when/how to use them.
  • Competent in architecting and building mobile, efficient application architectures and data models.
  • Ability to author technical documentation that can be easily understood by others in the development team

Nice to have:

  • Continuous integration build and delivery – Git / Maven / Jenkins
  • Experience in other languages such as C#, Javascript
  • DI framework, eg. Dagger
  • Automated testing experience – such as Mockito, Cucumber etc.
  • HTML 5 / CSS
