Application Specialist

Technology, and the teams developing that technology, are the key to that transformation. With an ever complex and changing IT infrastructure, our Application Specialist team is in need of a team member with strong diagnosis and resolution capabilities. 

As an Application Specialist, you'll balance your time between new delivery work and resolving systems issues. 

 

As an Application Specialist, you'll balance your time between new delivery work and resolving systems issues. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Working with the wider delivery teams to identify enhancements to existing systems to deliver value for the organisation
  • Completing systems administration work requests and change requests
  • Looking for & implementing opportunities for automation to ensure a streamlined experience for our internal customers. 
  • Manage application fault resolution
  • Carry out activities such as investigation and analysis to determine the cause of the incident and resolve where appropriate
  • Work with the wider delivery teams to ensure seamless deployment of updates and fixes. 
  • Support continuous delivery techniques across the delivery teams.

You'll bring the following:

  • Experience supporting Office 365 applications (including Sharepoint and Onedrive) and administration & licensing. 
  • Strong knowledge in AD
  • Prior experience using Salesforce would be an advantage, as would experience with Powershell scripting and SQL. 
  • Strong general systems knowledge, and the ability to abstract that knowledge over similar systems
  • Excellent understanding of systems integration, patterns, techniques, and related challenges
  • Experience in the process of resolving problems on information systems and supporting IT service management tools will be handy. 
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Strong problem-solving skills and experience. Lateral thinking and analytical ability essential
